This program is NOT a diet. We utilize the strength of your subconscious mind to focus easily, naturally and comfortably on healthier, more positive eating habits and behaviors. It provides a balance of nutritional, metabolic, physical, emotional and motivational information. We provide you with the necessary tools to accomplish and maintain your weight loss and eliminate any previous "yo-yo" syndrome and failures. This program allows you to enjoy normal foods without feeling deprived while establishing permanent, healthier and more positive eating habits and behaviors that can last for a lifetime.
Q. How does Hypnotherapy help me control my weight?
A. Hypnotherapy is a very natural and yet powerful technique of focused relaxation that enables the subconscious mind to be receptive to positive suggestions. It is a client-centered process, in which the specific issues of the individual are addressed based on their particular goals, motivations, and vulnerabilities.
Hypnotherapy allows the subconscious mind to become stronger and more effective in choosing healthier foods to enhance your health and to meet your goals The changes begin immediately because; through the increased strength and focus of your subconscious mind you are in control. You are much more aware of the positive aspects that have initiated your decision to attain and maintain a healthy and attractive body.
Q. Can I be hypnotized?
A. Anyone of normal or higher intelligence can be hypnotized. The suggestions and instructions which are placed into the subconscious mind while the subject is in a relaxed state of mind enables and accomplishes changes in habits or behaviors. It is not necessary to be in a deep trance in order to accomplish positive results. The therapist does not have " control of your mind " and you would not do anything that would be against your free will or moral standards.
Q. How and why does Hypnotherapy differ from other weight control programs?
A. Hypnotherapy utilizes the strength of your subconscious mind to decrease negative eating habits and your cravings for inappropriate foods. Bad habits and problems that have contributed to your weight gain are overcome and replaced with permanent, easily maintained, healthy changes in your eating habits and behaviors. Your desire to "choose" to eat healthy, well balanced, nourishing foods is increased and you'll be more motivated to exercise. Our Hypnotherapy programs have a high success rate because they are individually structured to your own specific needs and goals.
Q. Do I have to eat or prepare special foods or take supplements etc.
A. With our programs, there's no weighing or measuring of foods, and no counting of calories or fat grams. There are no supplements or special foods required.
Q. How many visits will it take?
A. Participants of our unique "5 Session, One-on-One" program (option #1) begin to see a difference in their eating behaviors and attitudes towards foods sometime between the time they leave our office after their very first session and the next 12-24 hours. You can begin to lose weight during your first week and start to see a difference in your appearance during the 2nd or 3rd week of that program. It is an established fact that it takes the subconscious mind approximately 28-32 days of consistent re-enforcement to permanently eliminate a negative habit or behavior and to instill more positive ones. The first 4 sessions are done during that initial 28-32 day period as you become comfortable with healthier, more positive eating habits. The final session 5 weeks later overcomes the fears of plateaus, and "vulnerable food days". This comprehensive program is designed to fit your individual, unique, specific needs and lifestyle to ensure your success.
You will need to allow 2 1/2 hours for your first visit and session. The subsequent appointments are scheduled for 1 -1* hours to facilitate and help resolve stress or anxiety issues that are having a direct impact on changing and improving your eating behaviors. Each visit focuses on a different aspect of controlling your weight. We motivate you through the use of Hypnotherapy to increase your level of activity in the middle portion of your program.
